some of my recent work
No one wants a boring, cookie cutter design. Whether it's a business or personal website, stationary and business cards, or brochure and flyer designs, I can design your project to stand out and fit your needs.

website maintenance services
Getting your website online is only half the story
Websites, especially those with Content Management Systems (CMS), often need routine maintenance to continue functioning reliably. It may seem like an added frill to buy maintenance, upgrade and backup services for your website but, considering the cost of replacing lost data, it can be much more expensive if you don't.
For an individual or a small business, both keeping up on these tasks and staying inside your budget can be daunting. With that in mind, I offer two Website Maintenance Packages.
Both packages include the same high quality service and differ only in pricing. With each package you will receive these services:
- Website Review and Analysis: Routine website review at the interval of your choosing - Generally, monthly is frequent enough for most websites. However, I will provide specific recommendations on a per website basis.
- Back-up Services: Regular data back-ups ensure that your data is safe and retrievable if the need arises. Web hosts do not typically exert much effort to ensure that your data is protected, making it your responsibility to ensure that your data is safe.
- Upgrades: Specific to websites built on a Content Management System (CMS). Many websites require intermittent infrastructure updating, typically at irregular intervals. In other words, there is no accurate way of predicting how frequently these updates are necessary. The best approach is a routine review of the website to determine if any upgrades are necessary.
- Basic Modifications: I will make any changes you require to content or images on your site. This area covers those instances when the website just needs small changes. This does not include changes to design of the website. Web design or redesign is done on a per project basis.
- Your website will be reviewed, updated, or modified typically within 48 hours upon receiving your request.

other places to find me online
I also do digital illustration and print/t-shirt design.

I started a Zazzle account under the name Kanjin Designs about a year ago to sell Bujinkan and ninja related clothes and gifts. Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu, taught by Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi, is a Japanese martial art with a deep lineage and rich history.
about me
Hi, I'm Sean, and this is my place on the web. Formerly from Albuquerque, NM (for the last 13 years), I'm a recent transplant to the San Francisco Bay Area.
I've been actively interested in design since before I knew what to call it. As a kid, I went to a commercial art program through my high school in western New York and learned the tools of the trade. At least they were the tools circa 1992! I was trained old school with art markers, x-acto knives, air brushing, and stat photography. It was there that I first encountered computer based design. I remember an image of a frog that my instructor had taken over 100 hours to render! Since then, I've made a career of being well rounded. I have undergraduate training in archaeology, anthropology and philosophy. I've done Master's level work in public administration and regional planning. I even have training in CISCO network deployment and administration.
My wide variety of experience and holistic approach toward learning has served me well over the years. My broad interests in web technology and outside it have made me successful not just as designer but as an adviser to my clients.
Who are my clients?
Most often my clients are regular, everyday people. Since my earliest jobs, I've worked with small business owners, non-profits, and individuals with limited budgets. I've become skilled at making a big feeling site on limited resources! The small time approach that I take lets me deal with my clients personally. Small businesses and individuals making a go of it can relate to my approach. Being a one man show ensures that I'm personally dealing with my clients every step of the way.
I can accept payment by credit card, check card and PayPal!
